As you plan for your Thanksgiving dinner or another holiday party, here are some tips on how you can maximize space to entertain your guests.<\/span><\/p>\n

Get Things Ready in Advance\"\"<\/b><\/p>\n

One way that you can maximize space, save time, and make things that much more presentable, is to be sure to get your home and the tables ready in advance. In fact, if you can, you should even consider settin<\/span>g your holiday table <\/span>days<\/span><\/i> in advance; this will allow you to focus on cooking and hosting day of, and this way you can be sure that things are perfect when your guests arrive.<\/span><\/p>\n

Make Use of Light<\/b><\/p>\n

When rooms are lit properly, they often feel bigger and more spacious, which makes them feel more airy and comfortable. If you are hosting before the sun goes down, make use of <\/span>natural<\/span><\/i> light by opening window shades. As it gets dark, make sure entire rooms are filled with light so you don\u2019t have guests feeling \u201cleft in the dark.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Know Where You Want Your Guests (and How to Get Them There)<\/b><\/p>\n

One way to make your space feel larger is to make sure that guests smoothly transi<\/span>tion from one part of the night – and one area of the house – to another.
